The Kilkenny Choir

The Kilkenny Choir was formed in 1992, and from modest beginnings quickly developed into a choir of national standing.
The choir has developed an extensive repertoire ranging from Monteverdi and Bach to Stravinsky and Britten, and is always willing to tackle difficult works.  Each year the choir gives two concerts, one in December and one in April.

The choir has also performed in Belgium, France and Italy.

Rehearsals are held each Thursday evening from September to April.

The ability to read music is an advantage but not necessary.

A willingness to work hard and the ability to sing in tune - without vibrato! - are the essential factors.

The choir welcomes new members in September and January.
